The owners, Emma and Ben, are English but live in Nyon, Switzerland. They bought Chalet ‘B’ in 2014 as a family escape so they could enjoy all the Portes du Soleil had to offer in both the Winter and Summer.
The house is one of the original buildings in Morzine, having been built in 1911, but it was very run down and needed a large renovation to turn it into what it is today. The aim was to create a family home but with ample space to have friends and family to stay. The space needed to feel cosy and social yet large enough for people to be able to disappear to relax, all of which they achieved.
The chalet is situated on a quiet road adjacent to Morzine’s ‘high street’ only a minutes walk from the ski lifts and center of town. The chalet sleeps 12, in 6 bedrooms. It has a double reception room, kitchen with a dining table for 12, playroom, and 4 bathrooms (2 ensuite). It also has a ski room, lovely garden with BBQ ready for when the snow disappears.
The house is fundamentally their home but is available for rent for a few weeks each season.
